Thanks To You - Commentary
This
is a song of thanks dedicated to Harry (of
course!) and covers Harry and Ron's rescue of
Ginny from the hands of Tom Riddle and his
basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets. Because it's
such an emotional time for Ginny the song is
written in a heartfelt soft-rock (dare we say
sentimental?) ballad style. We like this song
because a few of our favourite characters are
mentioned (Dumbledore, Fawkes, Moaning Myrtle).
Perenelle particularly likes the fact that
Lockhart is mentioned in every chorus! We also
wanted to get across how this episode really
contributes to Ginny's strong feelings for Harry -
he not only saves her life but stops her from
getting expelled too. Watch out for Ron's virtuoso
guitar solo! |
