Too young (to go to Hogwarts) - Commentary
This is
the first song that Ginny ever wrote (and so will
always be one of her favourites). it was inspired
by her first encounter with Harry on platform 9
3/4. The episode is quite emotional for her as she
is upset because Ron is starting Hogwarts leaving
her alone at home and so she starts to cry as she
says goodbye.
Fred and
George cheer her up a little - we took a
liberty here and decided that, despite their
reassurances to Molly, the twins did actually send
Ginny the Hogwarts toilet seat after all! But as
all Harry Potter fans know, Ginny is not the type
of character to stay miserable for long (except
when she's being possessed by Lord Voldemort of
course -see commentary for Dear Tom) and so in
this song she makes a decision to try to persuade
Ron to invite Harry on a summer visit to The
Burrow. Well who's idea did you think it was? |
